Africa always delivers lasting memories, brilliant skies, endless landscapes, and multitudes of varied fauna.  While most animal sightings are mutual and result in the wild beast fleeing from view, there were moments when one could observe life as it unfolded.  The leopard remains a solitary creature deliberately avoiding the prying eyes of man.  My sojourn to Africa failed to deliver a wild leopard, but viewing the majestic beasts in captivity and through the camera lenses of wildlife photographers provided the necessary reference to complete my sketch.
